MightyMouse

MightyMouse vs Paseo

Both put your coding agents on your phone. MightyMouse also puts the Mac there, with nothing to host.

Short answer: Paseo is a free, open source (Apache-2.0) app that runs coding agents such as Claude Code, Codex and OpenCode in a background daemon on your machine, with iPhone and Android apps to reach them. MightyMouse is a Mac app with no daemon or server to run, and it adds lock-screen approvals and the whole Mac on your phone: live screen, trackpad, keyboard and free voice typing.

Paseo describes itself as an open source agentic development environment for desktop, mobile, web and CLI. A daemon on your computer manages the agents, and the desktop app, native phone apps, web app and command line all connect to it. Each agent gets its own git worktree, and there are diffs, terminals, pull requests and a built-in browser. You can reach the daemon over an end-to-end encrypted relay, your local network or your own tunnel.

MightyMouse covers the same agent loop in one Mac app: agents in their own branch, changes, pull request and merge, with up to six side by side. You install the app and pair your phone, and there is no server to host. The difference is what the phone can reach. Paseo's phone apps talk to the agents. MightyMouse's phone remote talks to the whole Mac, agents included.

Where Paseo is the better pick

Paseo is free and open source, so you can read every line and fork it. It runs the daemon on a server too, with a Docker image and a self-hosted web app, so agents can live on a home lab or cloud machine and keep going when no laptop is open. MightyMouse is closed source and Mac only, and your Mac does the work.

It also supports many more agents and plugins, and its agents can start and talk to other agents. If you want a self-hosted setup you control end to end, Paseo is built for that.

Where MightyMouse is the better pick

Nothing to host. Install the Mac app and pair your phone. No daemon to start, no server, no Docker, no tunnel to set up.

Your phone reaches the whole Mac. A permission dialog, a browser tab, a build that hung outside the terminal: open the phone and you have the live screen, a trackpad and the keyboard.

Answer without opening anything. An agent's question lands on your lock screen. Approve it with Face ID and put the phone down. Voice typing works in every app on the Mac, for free.

Common questions

Do I need an AI subscription?

No. Connect a Claude, Codex, Gemini or OpenCode account you already pay for and MightyMouse costs nothing. Have none? Sign up and use the built in option, no card needed. Voice transcription is free either way because it runs on your Mac.

Is Paseo free?

Yes. Paseo is free and open source under the Apache-2.0 license, and you bring your own agent provider logins, per paseo.sh and its GitHub repository.

Do I need to run a server for MightyMouse?

No. MightyMouse is a Mac app. Install it, pair your phone, and your agents run on that Mac.

Can I use both?

Yes. Some people keep Paseo for agents on a remote machine and use MightyMouse to reach the Mac in front of them from the phone, with live screen, trackpad, keys and voice typing.
